play wonder and learn conference No.1

I was fortunate to attend the Play wonder and Learn conference this week end.  This professional development opportunity really provided me with a deep insight into how teachers create ICT rich environments and how students engage in learning using ICT, through exploring, problem solving, creating and simply for fun.  Angry Verbs is an example of using ‘kids culture’ to engage students in learning.

The first session i attended was titled “My powered up prep classroom”

Many tools were incorporated into the daily routine of this classroom including ipods, ipads and the use or powerpoint in which the children interact to enhance their knowledge and understanding of letters, words, sounds and numbers.

Other resources utilised within this prep class included talking points.–8482-,

I look forward to attending further professional development opportunities in the future
