Embedding sustainable practices into Early childhood settings has recently become a hot topic for discussion for educators working in early childhood settings.  I find myself having a passion for creating learning spaces which promote children’s understanding in caring for their environment, particularly connecting children with nature.

For my unit planning I would like to engage the prep children in building a worm farm.  I have discovered many greats sites which provide ideas on how teaching and learning about sustainable practices can be incorporated into the curriculum.  Splash ABC has some great resources and is worth taking a look.
